Diese Strickedition ist wesentlicher Bestandteil des Kunstbuchprojektes שיר אהבה (Liebeslied) Chemnitz-Tel Aviv.

You know I'm an artist, I have to be free! – Photography by Daniela Müller-Brunke, Solo Show More Is More, Berlin
Dear donors and sponsors,
Below you’ll find five donation packages that will allow me to have שיר אהבה (Liebeslied) Chemnitz-Tel Aviv completed in a printed version. All packages include acknowledgement of the donor by full name. My aim is to cover final proofreading, lithography, additional work for translation, graphic design and the final printing process.
For me, שיר אהבה (Liebeslied) Chemnitz-Tel Aviv is a fluid body of work that connects me to my roots; to my childhood in the former GDR, to the history of my family and its places and to the path I chose to grow and develop in Tel Aviv, Israel. One might say „what an odd combination“, but when you put all pieces of the story together, you will find an amazing depth of content shared by both cities and their people.
I was very delighted when Chemnitz was announced as Capital of Culture 2025,what a beautiful achievement. (Liebeslied) Chemnitz-Tel Aviv has, at its heart, a different, personal narrative of Karl-Marx-Stadt/Chemnitz, as opposed to a preconceived judgement about life in the former GDR. I am very grateful for my personal path, growing up in Karl-Marx-Stadt in former GDR and for being unconditionally protected everywhere on this planet, especially as a non-Jew in Israel.
With this at heart, I sincerely wish for your support in sharing my thoughts, research and personal insights. Thank you for your support and contact us via EMail.

Heimatgeschichte (origins)
Flechtwerk als Erzählteppich (interlace as a storytelling tapestry)
A few years ago, a family friend retired after spending his entire career as a textile trader in the former GDR and later throughout Germany. Retirement also meant being left with a crazy amount of fabric samples he used to present to his customers seasonally, often driving from house to house. Naturally, each season brought about a new collection that needed to be sold. Given my fondness for textiles and upcycling, I asked if I could have a selection of these patterns for my artworks. He granted me access to six large boxes, packed with an insane variety of materials, colors, textures, and potential uses. These boxes had been stored in my studio until last year.
It took me a while to process, organize, and work with them. As with any new material, understanding it and investing time to comprehend how to use and combine it was necessary. I began with very simple and pure images, gradually adding ink and acrylic paints throughout the process to achieve greater depth and intensity. The series is an ongoing development process, with different sizes and formats tailored to the spatial requirements of my clients.
Attached is a selection of patterns available for purchase online.

Earth without heroes – I erase you in the darkness in the corners of my mind (top), Criminal in your prayer (bottom)
Earth without heroes consists of a series of eight drawings that I created during transitioning from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv in 2008/2009. The series is based on a 100-part cycle, Playtime, that was created over three months in my studio on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. The work was made at the time of the Gaza war in winter of 2008, when I had just started my Master’s year in Bezalel. During the war I withdrew into myself, both locally and spiritually.
My studio allowed me the much-needed space to bring all thoughts that rushed through me directly to paper. The format of my feelings ranged between A3 and A4. Every day I chose a new theme; from architecture to movement, sports, love or fear. My protagonists and I joined forces and they followed me to Tel Aviv for the next two years. Earth without heroes was the last cycle of this kind. It was exhibited at Barbour Gallery in Jerusalem and remained in Tel Aviv for seven years after I moved back to Berlin. Five of these eight works have so far found their place in private collections with the silent condition of being able to stay here in Israel.

02/22 Paintings, Crab Nebula

Crab Nebula is a venturous world that I created based on an upcoming music album by the Israeli singer, songwriter and composer Daniel Dor while spending winter with my family in Chemnitz. High-spirited and adventuresome, I threw myself into a magical saga of boiled crushed herbs and eminent forefathers for two months.
Scientifically speaking; Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The common name comes from William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, who observed the object in 1842 using a 36-inch (91 cm) telescope and produced a drawing that looked somewhat like a crab. The nebula was discovered by English astronomer John Bevis in 1731, and it corresponds with a bright supernova recorded by Chinese astronomers in 1054. The nebula was the first astronomical object identified that corresponds with a historical supernova explosion.

At a count of five,
I jumped off my horse and stared into a black crater, which consists, in large measures of material „not his own“. I could only guess its life, strivings and sorrows, since moon took over a month already. How I missed sun these days! In the search of „being“ and „true love“ I jumped; – against law, against nature, against origin, studies and needs – into an open wound of only emptiness. The greatest length of time I submerged into shades of gray. I thought of school and asking my teacher for directions to inner freedom. With enjoyment, I have been offered a mango fruit instead.
They say a persons being consists of two parts: essence and personality. Both, puzzled and magnetized between „yes“ and „no“, were now obtained by fusion qualities in a galactic Super Nova. On the evolutionary ladder, always thinking center, I became witness of the minutest details, that will later be documented as Crab Nebula, Tauri M1. I folded my hands and whispered silently „I want to remember myself.“, knowing we must die all at once and forever. Yet, God put me to sleep in the forest of disillusionment to receive the truth and helped me realize that I am a fool.
I was certain that real and complete knowledge had existed in ancient times. I fell out of a ceramic vessel and tried to catch a fish. Only then I knew, I must strive for freedom.

Before beginning this history, I am a pilot who is trying to make his way to the Promise Land.
For a fortnight I have been following a humble man who sails along on a wonderful nutshell in the sea. I went there secretly for three days. With both hands he holds on to the reflection of Taurus in the sea. Like a sculpture, he practices the art of contemplation to be a world’s delight. The sun played its melodies around his shoulders while shadows of the mountains passed his gaze. Full of passionate intensity, the darkness dropped again. Swarms of fish fluttered in circles around him and I felt the need to reconcile myself with all aspects of the inevitable condition of being human.

However, I understood that running with panthers induces great creative force. I was destined to live.
During night, a brilliant flash of benevolent energy entered my home. Daffodils and daisies, placed upon the main entrance, filled me with love in the field of dreams. I was a man of logic, and like all mythological figures I lived in Alexandria this time. I had a tendency to wander and took the challenge to climb on a large rock. There was a naval orange tree, broken in spirit, soul and body. I would find the edge of the water and inhaled the fragrance of a perfume that reminded me of autumn and beauty. Someone had appeared in the forest! Surrounded by sounds of snakes and animals, I heard a soft, gentle voice.
I looked around for many hundred years, gazing ahead and above, internalizing patience and developing sincere curiosity. The following year, growing naturally like a tree, a beautiful women rose above ground to bring into live expression. Her outward appearances were humble and kind. She grew with deep, unfathomable gratitude and once, like an angel spoke to Jospeh, she turned around to me and said, „If you go that way you are going, you shall never come to the goal.“ Tormenting questions bombarded my mind, but these questions would have had no answers on this side of heaven.

I am enough, I am here now and forever
C-Print edition by Studio Ivonne Dippmann
Barfuß
Immer?

Everytime I recall I pull my nose – black and white jumper edition by Studio Ivonne Dippmann & thekidswantcommunism by FriedrichDippmann
This summer Green Fashion Fair Berlin has celebrated its debut at Haus Ungarn, September 10th – 12th. Based on our capsule edition #thekidswantcommunism FriedrichDippmann presented a first edition of unique patchwork-coats that have been manufactured together with Georg Maier, Mühlhausen.
Since our customers have been asking for coats that can be easily worn over a blouse for example, we´ve decided to push this wish into reality. By using our original designs, we’ve been puzzling each coat together uniquely. This way, we’ve created a very exclusive edition, some with and some without collar, at some of them we´ve attached pockets and sometimes we decided on long arms.
thekidswantcommunism – Model MichelleTimothy, 4 color jacquard, 100% cotton, wearable inside-out, unisex, 2 coats available, locally produced in Chemnitz and Mühlhausen, available at Berlin, Next Floor
What we particularly emphasize on is the privilege to be able to oversee each step of our production process. That means to build fair and continuous relationships with our manufacturers involved and to be able to discuss with them new ideas and solutions. This way we keep our pieces exclusive and individual. Until now, we’ve also managed to produce portraits of our customers that purchased a jumper from thekidswantcommunism capsule edition.
Since this project took its start in Tel Aviv, based on interviews and individual stories, we’d like to continue this personal relationship with our customers. The project title itself, with its many stories and philosophy attached, invited very different people into a space that opened up for discussion about identity, home, capitalism, my hometown Chemnitz or simply how each and everyone of us reflects ones life in relationship to its movement around.

Green Fashion Fair Berlin – behind the scenes at Haus Ungarn
This summer Green Fashion Fair Berlin has celebrated its debut at Haus Ungarn, September 10th – 12th and on the occasion I took some images behind-the-scenes. Perceiving fairs of any kind as exhausting experience, the warm and historic atmosphere of Haus Ungarn as well as the selection of brands displayed were worth the hustle. Besides events, shows or workshops emphasizing on a sustainable mindset, Green Fashion Fair Berlin also hosted a pop-up store that invited customers to take a rest in our sofa corner. Creating this friendly space I had the opportunity to have profound and in-depth conversations as well.
Green Fashion Fair Berlin – Pop Up Store, bag LANIUS, shoes Paul Kadjo, jumpers Thoas Lindner, dresses Skarabis
Sustainability is not limited to the discussion of humans claiming resources worldwide, furthermore it generates a mindset of how one profoundly understands the energy invested in every step of the production process in order to have a product available and manufactured. And not just that! It also brings into mind how you as a resource yourself communicate and navigate in the world. We don’t need more fashion designer or items being produced, instead we need individuals that create consciousness and political awareness far beyond production. By pushing education in the field of ethics and values, we are enabled to create content and ideas that channel a human friendly mindset that is communicated clearly in our everyday life.
Through modernism, history and time itself became dynamic forces that lead to a lifestyle which is unstable and accelerates continuously. Structure itself became a rare resource, meaning that one has to re-evaluate and re-consider a situation proportionally to its circumstances at all times. Having that in mind, I was very happy to find space and time having few conversations that literally touched someone and resonated within. Lets see what comes around!
